Boutique: the Parisian spice route
Oct 29th, 2007 by Carrie

You don’t have to be a Spanish conquistador to travel the spice route. And you certainly don’t have to go so far, but you do have to be buzzed in. Goumanyat et son Royaume has been in business since sailing for spices was all the rage, but only recently have they made their wares available to us peasants. Situated close to Place de la République, this boutique, an experience akin to rifling through the treasures of Ali Baba, offers exquisite oils, exotic salts and spices, most notably, a good helping of saffron. There is also a carefully chosen selection of cookbooks, cooking utensils and spice grinders.
Goumanyat et son Royaume is open Tuesday through Friday from 2pm to 7pm and Saturday from 11am to 7pm.
